From historic Kleinburg Village homes with century-old plumbing to new builds in Bayview Wellington and St. Andrew's — Mechora serves all of Kleinburg's residential and commercial districts.
Kleinburg is one of York Region's most established and steadily growing communities, positioned between Newmarket to the north and Richmond Hill to the south along the Yonge Street corridor. Old Kleinburg Village is a distinct heritage district with character homes from the late 1800s through mid-20th century — properties that carry galvanized or early copper supply lines, clay sewer laterals, and cast-iron drain stacks that have served well past their designed service life. These homes benefit from systematic camera assessment, targeted lining, and staged supply upgrades rather than full-system replacement.
Kleinburg Heights and Kleinburg Highlands, developed through the 1970s and 1980s, are copper-supplied with cast-iron or ABS drain. These neighbourhoods are entering the age range where pinhole copper leaks, cast-iron scale, and aging water heaters create predictable service demand. Newer communities like Bayview Wellington, St. Andrew's and Mosaics at Kleinburg — built from the 1990s through the 2010s — use PVC drainage with demand focused on sump pump service, backflow preventer annual testing, and mechanical maintenance.
Kleinburg's commercial corridor along Yonge Street and Wellington Street East, plus the industrial and business park areas near Bloomington Road, generate commercial plumbing and mechanical demand. The town's combination of heritage properties and active new construction creates a diverse and sustained service market for all three of Mechora's divisions.

Heritage Plumbing Service — Old Kleinburg Village
Century homes in Old Kleinburg Village present complex plumbing profiles — galvanized supply lines, early copper sections, clay or early-cement laterals, and cast-iron drain stacks that may have been partially modified over decades without documentation. We approach these properties with camera inspection first, assess what is in place, and propose upgrades in stages that minimize disruption to finished heritage interiors. We hold Ontario plumbing licences and carry full liability insurance for all work on these properties.
Start with a camera inspection →Lateral Relining — Clay Sewer Lines
Kleinburg's older properties on clay lateral lines are prime candidates for CIPP relining — a no-excavation solution that installs a structural liner inside the existing pipe. Root intrusion, offset joints and minor section collapse are all treatable with relining where pipe condition allows. We confirm results with a post-cure camera inspection and provide recorded footage for property records.
Pipe relining services →Commercial Drain — Yonge Street & Wellington Business District
Kleinburg's commercial strip along Yonge Street and the Wellington Street East business district contains restaurants, food services and retail with regular drain maintenance needs. We provide scheduled hydro-jetting, grease-interceptor cleaning, and camera inspection services for commercial tenants and property managers in these corridors.
Commercial hydro-jetting →Backflow Prevention & Sump Service — Newer Subdivisions
Newer Kleinburg communities including Bayview Wellington, Mosaics and Kleinburg Grove require annual backflow preventer testing under Halton and York Region by-laws. We hold certified tester designation and complete testing with same-day reporting. Sump pump inspection and battery backup installation are common companion services for these properties.
Plumbing repair services →Yes. Mechora Group serves all Kleinburg communities including Old Kleinburg Village, Kleinburg Heights, Kleinburg Highlands, Bayview Wellington, St. Andrew's, Mosaics, Kleinburg Grove, and commercial areas along Yonge Street and Wellington Street East.
Yes. We regularly work on century and semi-century homes in historic Old Kleinburg Village. These properties often have galvanized or lead supply lines, clay sewer laterals, and cast-iron drain stacks. We approach heritage homes carefully to avoid damage to finished interiors and period features, and propose upgrades in stages that suit the property's condition and the owner's priorities.
In historic Kleinburg Village, the most common issues are aging galvanized supply causing low pressure and discolouration, and clay laterals with root intrusion. In Kleinburg Heights and Kleinburg Highlands from the 1970s-1980s, copper pinhole leaks and cast-iron scale are most frequent. Newer communities in Bayview Wellington and St. Andrew's see sump pump and backflow preventer maintenance needs.
Yes. We serve commercial and retail properties along Yonge Street Kleinburg, Wellington Street East, and the industrial areas near Bloomington Road. Services include drain cleaning, plumbing maintenance, HVAC service, and commercial mechanical for property managers and business owners throughout these corridors.
